Marlon Griffith
Marlon Griffith, is a founding and managing member of Griffith & Wheat, PLLC. Mr. Griffith is a proven trial litigator who has been consistently recognized as one top trial attorneys in Washington, D.C. Mr. Griffith has represented a diverse group of clients in criminal and business matters in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and throughout the country. Prior to private practice, Mr. Griffith served as the Chief of the Trial Division for the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia (“PDS”) – widely recognized as the premier public defender office in the country – where he managed and supervised a division of over 60 trial attorneys litigating the most serious criminal and juvenile delinquency cases against federal prosecutors and assistant attorney generals in the District of Columbia Superior Court.
Mr. Griffith also serves as outside counsel to government contractors, small businesses, non-profits and sole proprietors providing advice and guidance on various employment and contract issues. Mr. Griffith is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA), Martindale-Hubbell® Client and Peer Review Preeminent Rated Lawyer (highest possible rating), and has been selected to the Washington DC Superlawyer list since 2012. Mr. Griffith is also a visiting faculty member for the Harvard Law School Trial Advocacy workshop.
He earned his J.D. from George Washington University and his B.A. from Denison University.
